DM1 updated + new fx app

Dm-1 has finally been updated, no more distortion, but I got distracted, when I loaded dm-1 for the first time a splash screen come up for a new fx app, called dfx I think, never usually click on these sort of things in apps but it looked fantastic and 50% off so I clicked, not available in the uk store:(

Any people on here state side want to see if it's up as I'm very curious about it, looked like four kaoss x/y pads from the splash screenshot.

Not up.

I do hope it's something completely different to what's available in DM-1 though. The FX section in DM-1 is really Lo-fi and just...wonky. Anyway, glad it's back. It has some really cool kits, and a great straightforward sequencer, plus the always fun to use randomizer thing. I do wish they'd re-do some of the FX tho, like the comp and dist.

Thanks for looking was gutted when I got the change store to us dialogue box, I have a love/hate relationship with the wonkyness of dm1 fx, I'll make a beat, use the fx to spice it up, but turn down the wet/dry balance as things can get out of control, then they update it and smooth out some of the wonkyness and my break will sound slightly different, I'll be like god damn it its hairless now.

Hoping they have expanded on the dm1 fx section in the new fx app, as I do like the fx, most of the time, can get some interesting results, did look very enticing from the screen shot, I'm a sucker for the x-y pad control when it comes to fx, time will tell how this new app will sound, secretly hoping for a touch of wonky:)

Doesn't respond to midi stop start anymore - it's just constantly running it seems. I was able to sync it to loopy though and the drift is a lot better than ever (as in its still in sync more or less after playing several bars . It's useable now I think. )

I had major problems with the timing in the earlier versions, id get an arrangement together, import it into logic and the drift on some of the tracks was quite extreme, some would be in sync straight away, which I always found a bit puzzling. Sometimes time stretching would sort it out, other times I'd have to manually adjust in flex time, even though we have much more powerful tech now I miss the rock solid timing of the atari st.

I didn't get the FX splash screen either, and I don't see any link to it online or any mention on Fingerlab's website or Facebook. So far the pitch shift on the drums sounds better but it doesn't seem like the choke group feature works. I put the open and closed hihats in the choke group but the open hat kept ringing out anyway. Running iOS 7.1.2 on an iPad Mini retina

I get splash screen. Where are the choke groups?

On the mixer page if you hold the white button on the bottom it puts it in the choke group. but it doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I'm using it wrong? I put open and closed hi hat (and the cymbal) in all in the choke group but they seem to ring out just the same.
