Oh and bless you Hmtx , I hope your cold is better soon also. Where is that smiley button now?
Interesting,
What puts this above Turnado for you Tman?
I really like the presets a lot more for one. I find both flux and this easier on the eyes also.( I am in my 50's and my eyesight is not what it once was.) I found Turnado to be just kind of more for glitchy stuff which just is not my cup of tea. I almost never reach for it. Flux like I said in the other thread is just pure awesomeness. The sequencer is excellent for one and the sound comes out incredible for my taste. Let me think on this some more. overall, I find both flux and dfx much easier to manipulate.
Every single effect in Turnado also has a wet/dry knob, or do you mean, it's easier to reach in DFX?

Yeah, you have to delve into the (tiny, tiny buttons) editor to make those sort of changes on a per-effect basis, whereas DFX lays it all out on one page. Saying that though, the wet/dry sliders aren't working nicely for me as they seem to make random changes when I move them, or sometimes affect the main volume permanently. I like it, but it's a wild mans FX, so be careful with the thing.
I haven't got Flux but Turnado is still going to be my go-to FX. It's not all slicing and ring mods, you can play through a basic bit of reverb, or phaser if you fancy, and it's echoes are the best.
As for Doug's videos he can call them what he likes - it's none of my business, but if I was asked I think they should be sub-titled 'Better than the usual non-existent or crap official one'
At it's price DFX has to be one of the best value apps on iOS. Turnado, great sounding, but it's a complaint with most Sugar Bytes iOS, sadly let down by it's UI. FLUX well from the developers participation here, I see this only going from strength to strength.
To sum up, we now have a few choices in multi-FX apps, as we only had with Guitar-FX apps, this shows how far music making has come here on iOS.
@Hmtx I think in some ways DFX is similar to Turnado but with fewer effects, less depth and no midi control. I think the ability to animate the effects with circle/ellipse/line and set the rate of cycling in each of the four different XY pads can produce some interesting rhythms. You can setup two audio chains in Audiobus one with Turnado and the other with DFX. If DFX ever does get midi, being able to control it and Turnado would be great. Even running one after the other can be useful. Definitely worth $1.99 for me.
Here's a sound demo of a squarish BitWiz wave being transformed with formant filters in DFX
It is no longer $1.99. The price has gone up to $3.99. Still a great deal. Like T2, I also think Flux is the best, followed by DFX and then Turnado. That doesn't mean I think Turnado is bad; it just isn't as usable for me.
You can pick up some bargains if you keep an eye on this forum - I noticed FM4 has gone up from 49p to £6.99!
Wow, Taxing? Lol.
