Hi I'm new round here!!
Hi my name is Jarmin and I've been lurking round here for a while now since I have switched to a purely iOS setup (apparently PC's don't like vodka cocktails.....long story!) and I have to say that Audiobus seems to be the answer to everything!! I'm not new to music production as I've been using FL Studio and ProTools on an old Dell precision 5150 for many years but am really looking forward to getting properly stuck into my new streamlined iPad setup.
After reading these forums and a few reviews my setup now consists of:
iPad Air
Akai EIE (this thing is awesome!)
Auria
Audiobus
Amplitude
DrumPerfect
Vocalive
Nanostudio (been using this for a couple of years on my phone)
Loopy
I also purchased FL Studio Mobile app as I thought it might be similar to the desktop version. Big mistake! What a big load of cack, very disappointing indeed.
Anyway, I really just wanted to introduce myself and ask for some recommendations on synths? I used to love using NI Massive for big wub wub bass lines and was wondering if there is anything like that? I only have Nanologue at the moment which is cool but no Audiobus. Can I run it thru GarageBand then into auria??
That's enough babbling from me but I look forward to becoming a Audiobus addict!!

Welcome
Gadget does some great synth sounds amongst its modules and does lots of great Wub-Wub bass in the Miami module
You might want to check out Doug's videos at thesoundtestroom.com as he usually runs through the presets and this will give you a sense of what the various synth apps are about.
Other recommendations are Thor, Animoog, Nave
I could go on.....
Welcome, Jarmin. Nanologue has Inter-App Audio support, so you can pipe it into GarageBand or Auria. You'll want to record it into GarageBand and then bring import the recording into Auria as a Nanologue >> GarageBand >> Auria chain is not possible.
Liked you're description of FL, made my laugh, a shadow, of a shadow, of it's progenitor, welcome aboard Jarmin.
Thor and the rest are nice, Z3TA is worth a look too. But still nothing that can reach Massive or the top desktop synths yet.
+iSEM and I got the synths packed for the lonely island
Why not wonderful iOS-synths like Magellan, Sunrizer and NLog!
There's many wonderful synths nowadays in the iOS community!
The new Yamaha AN2015 sounds awesome also!
It's a pity when there's to much to choose from on the iPad ;-)
Sometime I discover that I forgotten super-apps on my iPad :-(
The year 2015 will be the year iPad/iPhone will reach the point when many Pros will adapt this platform (my guess)...
And, Jarmin, welcome to iOS and Audiobus!
Welcome to the forum.
For big wub wub bass type stuff, I'm no expert but I've had success with:
Z3ta (lots of PC/iOS patches available including a good dubstep one for a few dollars that has some great sounds)
Thor (good sound and good patches)
FM4 (you can make some great sounds with this)
Nave (I find it confusing personally but I think the wave stuff can get pretty crazy and the sound is pretty powerful).
Miami in Gadget (easy but relatively limited)
Tera (you can get some big, gritty sounds out of this and it has some good bass patches IMO)
I'd be interested to know your thoughts / progress. I'm quite into making drum and bass type stuff with iOS.
And Zed, though not here yet, was sounding good.
@Jarmin,
A cool overview of the best iOS synths: http://www.musicradar.com/us/news/tech/16-of-the-best-ipad-iphone-ios-synths-571053
Add into those musicradar 16 (some of which have been mentioned) the 3 music radar missed that @Matt_Fletcher_2000 mentioned, plus @ErrkaPetti's 3, plus Nanologue and Eden that you've got, and Mitosynth which wubs most awesomely like many of these and add Arctic Prosynth and Unity and Cassini and and and. And Zed!
You are in for a ride, welcome! The wheels on the 'bus go round and round.
Another good overview of synths (but not just for wubbing) is from John at the musicappblog

Thanks for all your replies!
I'm glad to see that the term "wub wub" is widely understood! Massive is awesome for wub wub but it's obviously far too large a beast for the iPad (for now at least....) but to be honest I never really scratched the surface with it! Having a look at a few of your suggestions I'm sure that some iOS synths are capable of being equally brutal. I have a feeling iOS production could totally blow up this year.......
@Littlewoodg this is starting to look expensive!!!
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 looooove drum n bass. Got a couple of old tunes up on sound cloud if ya wanna listen.
soundcloud.com/jarminrecords
Self promotion fail! What sort of fool gives the wrong link!! www.soundcloud.com/jarmin-records is correct
Hi @Jarmin
I had a listen to your stuff on soundcloud. Very cool.
Some of it is extremely funky!
It all sounds pretty raw to me (not a bad thing) - with some really nice hooks and ideas.
It made me realise I need to work on my funk/groove more.
I'd be very interested to hear what you make with iOS.
Welcome Jarmin, had the same reaction to fL mobile myself lol and then again with akai. it' can be a lil rough sometimes on iOS but if you haven't take a gander at Samplr it's a really wonderful app for your experimental side.
