Using SFZ files in Caustic or Thumbjam
Hi,
Does anyone know if/how I can load up SFZ patches into either Caustic or Thumbjam (or an alternative iOS app).
I read Caustic could use them in the PCM synth - and the files are listed when I put them in the patches/PCMSynth folder but when I try to add them as an instrument it says 'failed to load'.
Thumbjam i'm none the wiser to be honest - nothing in the help I can see and it appears to just let you use wavs.
Note, I'm talking about SFZ (not SF2).
Thanks,
Matt

@Matt_Fletcher_2000, In Caustic, I thought it was only SF2, Soundfont files, but if you can load SFZ, I too would be interested.
TJ won't do it. One day I might add support, though. However if the sample files have embedded instrument metadata, you might have luck building an instrument in TJ from importing them.
Apparently plogue have one somewhere in the pipeline

Re: New free SFZ player from Plogue
We have an iOS build in the pipes. Android, whole other ballgame
(very old video).. only made public in 2014, but was uploaded 19 January 2012.

Running on a lowly iPad 1!
I'd love to have Plogues Chipsounds & Chipspeech as iOS apps too
Thanks guys. I've actually found a Mac app to convert SFZ to SF2 and that has done the trick for import into caustic.
