Battery life Air2?!
Question to all the gentle(wo)men with the Air2 under their hands: apart from the serious crazyness with ios 8, does anybody else have a real bad battery life with the Air2? I mean, it's like almost just half of the Air1 (with ios 7) here... .Something wrong with my device, or same thing with yours? Just wondering...

Battery does drain quicker
Turn off background updating. I get 12-15 hours
Yeah same here
Mmmh, yeah, it's shut off, but I mostly just get about 10 hrs. ... Thanks for chiming in!
10 hours approximately, though I never really tested it. Fully charging it takes a lot of time.
I thought that was what it said on the tin. I think 10hrs with partial intensive music use is pretty good.
roundabout 10 hours.Less with heavy usage (with Auria or graphical demanding stuff like...games Noticeable but not that much less than my mini retina.
Do you then manually check for updates?
The first thing i do on EVERY new iPad is to switch off all background tasks i don't need/want,that includes auto updates as well as location services and anything else that wants to phone home.
@bsantoro: yes, like crabman said, aal background services switched off. Seams normal, then. Don't get me wrong (@supadom), I was just comparing with my Air1, and that feels like going so much longer with one charge-, almost 4-5 hrs more...?
Anyways, thanks for the comments, it's a thin thing, so I guess it's ok, I'll live through it.
Cheers, twobeers
It's strange. I bought another brand new air 1 on 7 last month from the same eBay supplier as one year ago but I feel that battery life is somehow shorter. Saying that, when I check the usage it always oscillates around 10hrs so maybe it's just psychological in my case or maybe as some say it takes a few cycles to reach the full capacity. It's really hard to know the true story without proper testing unless you really see percentage going down right before your eyes.
Where is a good place for reliable battery benchmarks and how do you turn off all background services, I've got automatic updates turned off but what else?
