KMix by Keith McMillen
Hey there!,
Discchord had this announced during NAMM ,too:

What do y'all think? Could be my dreamthing after all (working with a quadro-setup mostly), cause this seems to do quadro-routing internally...(maybe aggregated with IConnectMidi4+, all might be well...)
-opinions?

Only thing I'd be concerned about are the faders. If they're anything like the ones on the QuNeo, I'd consider unusable. I find that my fingers stick on the QuNeo fader when sliding, and can't hit a specific mark very easily on it. I love my QuNeo, but don't use the faders for anything critical.
If they have addressed that issue on the K-mix, then it could be cool. But I'd definitely want to do some extended hands on with it before buying.
Not sure why KMI seems to love these touch faders/pads over standard rotary encoders/faders. What benefit do they serve? Are they less prone to failure or something (beer proof)? In that video, where the faders double as meters, you can't even see where the fader is set until you touch it. I would hate this.
To me it seems like they have taken the worst aspect of a touch screen (nothing to grab onto) and put it into hardware form.
Edit: ok so the rotarys make a bit more sense now as there is an XY thing happening but those faders, yikes.
