IGrand&iLectric Updates
I don't understand these updates. Are they iOS 8 only?I updated both,I see new IAPs bit no prices
and I can't select them.Anybody can help?
Comments
Oh,I forgot: I'm on iOS 7.1.2
Crazy! It works now with both of them.Maybe I was too fast for the store?
Sorry for this unnecessary thread!
Yes, they had just dropped Note that only the iPad version updates are online, the iPhone version of iGrand Piano is still awaiting approval at Apple. Shouldn't be too long.
iPhone versions are there too. Glad to have the improvements now. What I don't understand is why IK don't think iLectric would be worthwhile on iPhone. If iGrand works why not offer iLectric as well? And for anybody owning both an iPad and iPhone universal would be very welcome with the high IAP prices. For Amplitube at least the IAPs now can be purchased in one version and used in the other at no extra charge. Why not offer the same for iGrand?
I have a question for @Ikmultimedia: do Ikmultimedia apps send and receive virtual MIDI messages in a way that is different than most other IOS synth/piano/organ apps? The reason I ask is because: although my MIDI keyboard plays all IK apps fine through Audiobus into most destinations (Audioshare, Auria, Cubasis, etc), when I connect my n-Track DAW as the destination my keyboard will not cause the IK apps to play(I can still play them with the onscreen keyboards). However, except for Ikmultimedia apps, all other apps play fine with the same routing. I wonder if IK apps react to MIDI or virtual MIDI signals differently than all other apps?
They should not have MIDI issues, our apps are Core MIDI compliant and should work well with Virtual MIDI (SampleTank had a recent update that fixed some possible issues there, too). If you have issues like you mention, the best route is to contact our support team directly at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support and they will work with you.
Good answer, thanks!
No problem. It is strange because as I mentioned there was a VirtualMIDI issue fixed in a recent SampleTank update and I'm pretty sure it would have been widely reported if it was happening on iGrand or iLectric Piano (or other IK apps) if it were global. In that case, I'd think they would have rolled the same type of fixes into this update. Gives me hope that it is an issue that support can tackle and fix without requiring and update. If it helps, my fingers are crossed hoping that's the case
