Ahhhhhg, me too :-(
The Griffin studio connect w/lightning is getting near impossible to find anymore. Mine has been rock solid from day one . I went to show someone else where I got mine and no one seemed to have them suddenly. I got mine from B and H photo for around a hundred bucks just last year!
Wow, that's a bummer. A lot of people were looking forward to that one.
Bummer is right. I just got an original Studioconnect from Sweetwater recently. Works great with a 30 pin to lightning adapter.
Ya I can find the 30 pin but the lightning adapter versions appear to be out of stock all over. Anyone finding them?
They are a few places. OWC has them for $89 US. Groupon has them for $79 US. Retail is something like $149, which of course you don't want to pay. This is the lightning version.
I think Best Buy has them, at least on Ebay
Actuaully, thanks for this thread. I bought one of the 30pin version a while back from SweetW. but for some reason it didn't work right with the lightning adapter, so I figure it was just junk. But I just tried it with a REALLY powerful 5V and it works. Go figure. For how long I don't know, but I paid like $40 for this (BTW, Sweetwater is still selling these for $40, although they are 'expecting stock soon', Which at least is better than backordered...I think.)
Anyway, point is; If it wasn't for this thread, I might have missed this very good item that I bought for a song.
Have any of you 30pin lightning adapter people have any major issues? .That is, ones with updated firmware?
But seriously, $40 US? You can even do portrait with the Air with the 30pin adapter because it adds some length to it (apparently the regular lightning cable is too short? )
No issues here with the 30 pin version with adapter. And I didn't even do the firmware update. Works flawlessly. $39 can't go wrong. I was watching these at SW for a while before pulling the trigger. They go in and out of stock pretty regularly, but have always come back in stock.
took over year.. to say it will not come?

I picked up a new 30 pin on eBay for $35 a couple weeks ago. No problems using the lightning adaptor to update firmware from my iPad 4, works like a charm and sounds surprisingly good despite the RCA outs.
