Quick question about Korg Module
I have been playing my Roland RD64 stage piano through my iPad Air recently. Tried it with a few apps. Sounded great with iGrand but when I use it with Korg Module I get a weird effect. If I play a chord and hold down the sustain pedal it's fine. But if I already have the sustain pedal pressed and then play a chord it sounds awful. It's like there is a reverb effect on it turned to maximum. It's definitely a setting/problem in Module as it doesn't happen in any other app or when using pianos internal sounds.
Anyone else had this or know how to fix the issue?
Thanks.

I've used Module with a midi keyboard and sustain pedal and haven't noticed what you describe. Is there a specific preset where it's really bad? I can try it on mine sometime. I'm guessing it could be to do with the Damper / Layer Level control, maybe?
Thanks Vecoto. It's on all presets. It must be a setting somewhere that I need to change. Is the Damper/Layer Level control a setting within Module?
Yeah, it's the middle of the three knobs on the right side of the pianos in Module. Keep an eye on the knobs (and Module effect settings) as you press the sustain pedal. Could it be triggering any of them by mistake? My expression pedal is automatically routed to the Output Level knob in Module. Maybe your sustain is altering some other parameter?
Would be interesting to hear an audio example of the weird sound if that's possible.
It's the damper /level layer effect being activated. In my opinion, it's not a real useful effect, because it is only activated if you first depress the sustain pedal then play notes. It's not natural sounding at all.
Yes, you are both right. Turned it down and it sounds great now. Loving Module now. Thanks for taking the time to help fellas.
Oh awesome!
