Can you recommend a hub?
First does the hub provide all the power to connected devices? I've got the UCA222 and want to connect a Beatstep and Quneo and maybe something like a ravpower filehub down the line and a something like a Qunexus. I don't need one that charges, i'll probably get the ica4+ when that arrives but this is for a more portable set up.
Cheers!

I have one of these and I like it.

Cost ~£8 on Amazon.
Also comes in 7 Port Models and USB3.
I've powered several devices from the iPad using it passively and it supposedly works as a powered hub with the extra power cable, but I'm afraid I can't confirm whether it powers all the connected devices in that setup. I assume it would though.
Here is the thread I started on the Hub I bought a month or so ago for my iPad. Works great for me.

@BigDawgsByte haha yep, I bought mine on that recommendation and it does indeed work great. cheers.
@musikmachine you should get the yellow one.
SIAP, should have followed your link to see before I posted.
I should of linked to that thread, I didn't realise that I read about it here.
Looks great! Will the DC work with the iPads charging plug?
@bonso can't see yellow but the blue looks quite funky.
I've used it with an iphone charging plug, but I'm not 100% sure about iPad chargers.
I'm guessing it's still 5V and would be fine. Maybe someone can confirm this though
I got a blue one but I would still recommend the garish yellow one lol.
Haha, thought you were being serious about the yellow.
iPad charger is 5v so it should work, ordering one. Thanks for the help y'all.
Got the hub, today, dc cable is a bit short if you're not near a socket but the bonus is can power it from my laptop and switch it over when i need and yes it works with the iPad plug. Nice little hub, now i can get midi'd up!
I bought a pair of these about 4 years ago. One has been on in my studio ever since. The other I used for live sets (pre-iPad) with a Motu FastLane, MPD-32, and Nocturn. Now, the hub used for live sets works with my UCA-202 and $6 HDE USB CoreMidi interface via CCK. They've never let me down.

I can't see that exact hub but there's a similar one here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monoprice-105327-4-Port-USB-2-0/dp/B002KQ7A8C/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1424559066&sr=1-3&keywords=Monoprice#productDetails
Great thing about the hub is i can connect several devices with it unpowered, thought i'd be getting too much power messages with more than one device connected. I remember reading about the iPad being tricked by unpowered hubs and sure enough it does work.
Is there still no powered USB hub that will charge the iPad while being used with a camera connection kit?
Don't know, thought i read of something recently but can't remember what or where.
Nope. I don't believe it is possible.
The CCK is the culprit. Apple chose not to mplement charging capability in it.
Yes, and I find it interesting that the smart people over at iConnectivity were unable to implement 'audio device hosting' on the USB ports of their devices...yet, AudioPass through is possible...hmm....
I think i was thinking of the ravpower stuff. I'm guessing CCK will only work with a JB'd iPad.
