Auxy Update - 'Auxy Out' (2.15)

Haven't had a chance to run it yet, but apparently this will aid/fix support for DM1 (and iMini). Really hope so.

Comments

  • DM1 does work, but it's a pity that neither moderating that happens via DM1 of the DM1 sounds or moderating of the same via Auxy (turning down the velocity for example) doesn't seem to have any effect. If'n I'm missing something (would hardly be a first) I would love to be educated.

  • Big news (for me anyway) is "Auxy Out" as a MIDI destination, and that selecting it keeps Auxy alive in the bckground. Now I can route it and mogrify it. And use MidiBridge scene changes to change that.

Will it sync to incoming midi clock yet?
Incoming midi sync and custom pattern length (in steps, not bars) are two features that would turn it into my go-to live sequencer.

mh weird I'm not getting any sounds when using auxy out?
i'm on iOS 7 -- or is there any setup I'm missing?

edit: it is working with iMini, but not dm1. maybe an issue with dm1

  • ok, found it. DM1 needs to be started first, then auxy

    Just purchased the Auxy add-ons.

  • It looks like the trick is to select 'Auxy Out', not DM1. Then it works. One issue is that you only have access to one octave at a time on the grid. So, you may not have access to all of the drums you are interested in. Also, I see no effect for velocity changes when using DM1.

  • @SoftJunkie Yeah, the velocity thing is a sorry business. Sometimes half a loaf is worse than none....

  • It is probably not auxy's fault though, as other apps do receive the velocity data from auxy . . .
apparently some apps, especially olders synth, also respond to volume and moderation controls of auxy while others don't
