Sandisk Connect wireless storage device
So, I bought one of these and it is superb - it just works! Giving me extra storage space with no wires or iTunes in site, I can upload and download files to and from my iPad and it doesn't even need Internet connection. Select a file in AudioShare and choose the media drive as the destination. Bang!

77 bucks for 32 gigs is a nice price at bestbuy.
These types of things are great. The HooToo brand on Amazon is well-rated and even cheaper overall. $65 will get you the wireless device plus a SanDisk 64GB MicroSD or USB drive. And now that AudioShare can directly access a NAS, the process is even easier for iOS music workflow.
Wait, I've been wanting this forever for Audioshare. But I only see the regular stuff like dropbox, box, iCloud and document picker. And the wifi option. Can't find any option to have it scan my network (a la GoodReader), or enter my NAS details?
Interesting! I've decided that I won't be able to afford a new device this year, and I'd rather upgrade to an iPad Air 3 and iOS 9 next year. So, since I have only an iPad 2 with 16 GB of RAM, I find this very interesting! :-)
oh I'm so wrong about that... I was thinking I could access my NAS using AudioShare's web browser. But I have not been able to make it work like that, even typing in the actual URL for my NAS.
GoodReader works fine. And FileBrowser too. Then "open in" Audioshare or wherever I need...
Wait, so how does Audioshare access the Sandisk Connect? Is it through a Sandisk web interface that the AS browser can open?
There is a wireless connection between the iPad and the Sandisk with a free app to manage uploads and downloads.
i think this thread makes a good case for getting a 128gb ipad....
£80 for an extra 64gb...

@DaveMagoo it's not just the extra memory though I like the easy file transfer between devices / computer and you can add a 128GB expansion in the SD card slot.
Not only that but this is not really for a new iPad which is one hell of a lot more than 80 pounds last I checked, this is for upgrading on the cheap so instead of paying 400 pounds for a new one I can do the same thing much cheaper this way.
Ha yeah...I meant for me personally it will be factored into my decision to get the highest capacity of the new device...ipad pro maybe...
Hootoo plus 256GB Lexar USB3 stick is better value, I think. And yes, it would be very nice if AudioShare could access smb servers and otherly NAS.
i have got air1 today and with it came Kingston MobileLite Wireless G2 as a gift nice thing
maybe better that sandisk, coz it has USB port for USB sticks, too and it has LAN connector
I got one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emtec-inch-Wi-Fi-Hard-Drive/dp/B00MOL30L4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424438807&sr=8-1&keywords=emtec+wifi
Works like a charm but strangely I can't access it from FileBrowser, which works great PC<>iPad.
The Emtec has its own wifi IP and works without internet
Another wireless storage device will be the right fit for you.

The manual says it supports Samba/SMB so you should be able to access it with FileBrowser. Just treat it as a NAS. Can you already access it via web browser?
As ever, another PERFECT product. Provided it actually, you know, works.
I got the Sandisk wireless connect and it works great.
Useful for Ableton Link as well, since it acts as a wifi hub if I am ever in the absence of the actual dependable internet connection in a live setting. Of course it can be set up to connect to a router for actual internet use, but knowing I can't get stymied using Link in a live setting is reassuring.
