DM1 and some other problems
Hi. I'm using an iPad Air 1 on iOS 8.1.2, got DM1 and I'm trying to export a pattern, the option that only works for me it's .m4a file with the email option....
The rest of options don't work.
Now the problem I am having is that I'm trying to convert it to use it in Cubasis. I tried everything, using Audioshare, using Cubasis Audio Import, and so on.... the problem is that my audio file distorts once is converted to wav or aiff.
Any ideas are welcome.
To "fix" the problem you have to lower the DM1 master, no matter if it doesn't distort when exporting, just lower the master before exporting and when converting in cubase or audioshare it won't distort anymore....

Ha. Was going to test this for you, thinking I could bring the .m4a into Twisted Wave, but, clanggggg, audiocopy of either a 'song' or a pattern in Dm1 now encodes and then crashes the app back to the iPad desktop. And then....
Export to Dropbox? Encodes the song and then opens DFX: Maybe because that has a 'D' and an 'X' in it as well?
Serious whatthefuckery. Such a pity this is a pita.
(Air1/8latest)
lol, great thread title. I'm sorry I can't help though.
Indeed... very annoying.
The concept of the app is great, but the export options work very badly. No midi either.
The app crashes when exporting, the audio seems ok but if you import in cubasis and sometimes in Audioshare it distorts..., so the only way to use the audio is to lower the master volume and then export via email..., if you don't have internet you are screwed.
Somebody wrote this on their fb:
"Still buggy, piece of shit app by amateur developers, will never purchase anything else from fingerlab. No other app I use has had as many issues after each update."
It happened the same when they released DFX.
I spent hours trying different things and importing in different apps....
I asked for a refund again. 2 Firgerlab's apps I got and both purchases cancelled.
It's a great pity. I love this app, it's simplicity, its workflow, its flexibility, but the money shot is poor. Works OK here going into AB (thankfully), but the taste left in the mouth is hard to swallow.
OK. That's enough creaky oral suggestiveness for one morning.
I really like the workflow, in fact I programmed a few really nice patterns very fast that I couldn't before and the sounds are great. It's a pity.
every time they update it's like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. The update in January kinda worked for me - i could get it synced to Loopy well enough and exported a loop that sounded fine .. but the update a few weeks ago has made it a total dud for me.
Super irritating as the last update specifically mentioned an "export issues" fix. Does Fingerlab check this board?
No problem exporting pattern/song via email in wav format running under 7.1.2
I thought you can record into Audioshare in wav format via AB.
After exporting, the app looks crashing and relaunchs to the pattern screen, but it does the job.
I'm agree. From one of my favourites, to one of most useless.
