i've been trying to find a nice way of getting audio out from my ipad apps without resorting to routing it via itunes or dropbox. i know the new avid fast track has a dedicated ipad connection and you can use the camera connector to hook up usb interfaces. however, that doesn't seem to help in getting audio into ableton…

You have to check the midi ports in the port routing setup of the iconfig software and everything works fine, close to zero latency. If you go away from the PC for a while, you have to refresh the connection.
