"Step Off!" : Thesys & an alternative step sequencing APP

Scenario: I have Thesys from Sugar Bytes. I also have less than perfect vision and large fingers. Needless to say, these factors and Thesys layout and interface are not user friendly or practical for me to use.

I do have Magellan already.

I just don't think Thesys is right for me. I have practiced and watched all available tutorials available. This on top of being proficient in music software / hardware.

Can someone either give some personal tips on maybe approaching Thesys differently?
or
Can someone recommend an APP that does the same thing in basic terms but in a different means and layout? In other words, more user friendly for my taste.

    midiSequencer

    +1

  • Magellan itself has a pretty great internal sequencer that sends MIDI if I remember correctly...

past that, I'd 3rd the midiSequencer recommendation. That app is fun, and the dev is maybe the most responsive in the iOS music world. Since that app's release, the updates have been plentiful and impressive.

  • I will tally and purchase this evening (Eastern Standard Time)

    Appreciate the feedback thus far.

On a side note, can anyone speak to the Arctic Pro sequencer? I have Arctic Keys, but realize that the Pro has many functional differences.

Are the sounds much different / better on the Pro?

  • @RustiK, have you tried using the zoom feature in Accessibility on the iPad?

You mean the feature built into Thesys- yes.

I am slightly exaggerating with my sight impairment - I just didn't want to come out and bitch saying that everything is just way to small and meant for a PC not Ipad. Well, now I said it.
