  • AirDrop, Direct from AudioShare to AudioShare. AS shows up in the "Open In" dialog on the receiving device.

I tried AirDrop between my iPhone and iPad. The iPad indicates it has sent it to the iPhone; but I don't know where it sent it on my iPhone? I was hopefully trying to send it from the AudioShare app to the AudioShare app, but that did not work.

I also have started saving some AudioShare files to my iCloud Drive; so AudioShare on the iPhone, iPad and Mac all have easy access to the files. It works good, except I first had to create a new AudioShare folder on my ? Drive from my Mac; just to have a folder to put things in. Unfortunately, AudioShare only lets you save to the iCloud Drive one file at a time. It would be a great feature to be able to save whole folders or multiple file selections to the iCloud Drive all at once. I sent this request to the AudioShare developer. I am trying to not use DropBox.

    Did you figure this out?

Regarding AirDrop: it works fine between iPad and iPhone, at least if you do the right kind of mojo ritual first. AirDrop can be kind of flakey, but I find it working better and better with each iOS update :)

And with iCloud Drive, surely you can save whole folders there! Just long-tap the folder in AudioShare and choose "Export" and choose the destination. Unfortunately iCloud Drive does not support the other direction: importing a whole folder from Drive into AudioShare. (This is totally possible to implement though, as can be seen in AudioShare's own Document Picker extension. You'll have to ask Apple to do the same for their iCloud Drive document picker!)

  • Airdrop is weird sometimes. It never works between my 2 iPads for some reason.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to have the option in AS to start a WIFI server like in GoodReader or other apps, or even to have the option to sync select folders through iCloud or something @j_liljedahl?

There already is a WiFi web server in AudioShare, it's called "WiFi drive". Enable it by tapping the blue wifi button at the bottom of the library view.

Yes, one feature on my long list is selective sync of folders via iCloud Drive.

  • Dropbox works most consistently for me.

  • AirDrop. Heh! Ya learn something new every day. Didn't know you could do that. Just tried with AudioShare between iPhone and iPad, worked perfectly. Sweet :)

Have you heard about iPhone Data Transfer before? It is an iphone data transfer app which enables iPhone users to move all kinds of data onto iPad, iPod or android devices via USB cable. With this iphone data transfer tool, you can easily copy your files from iPhone to iPad offline.

    Wait for iOS 10.

    What's coming there-in? Universal copy/paste?

I was about to ask the same because I doubt 'device/app sync' will be implemented on iOS...

Check out new Files app in iOS 11. Looks like the problem with file transfer is finished.
