  • Awesome! – that export bug was driving me mental. I haven't tried the new update yet but fingers crossed ...

  • Pleased to report that the export/audicopy crash no longer happens here on Air1/8.2. Have tried a number of different patterns/song lengths into AS and all fine.

  • i felt bad for the devs, the app reviews looked like someone took a hit out on them. i've never had problems with it but then i never pushed it too hard either.

  • Never really had any issues with it either, nice little app.

It's a great app I think. Especially once I figured out you could effect velocity via the mixer per track/voice and also bring in some of your own noise...

EDIT: Should add that it took me a while to get round to using it but the randomizer which you can then 'opt out' voices while you keep changing/trying others is beautifully implemented and a great way to develop the feel of a beat IMHO etc.

I've never tried that - just had a look and there's a nice option for setting up user kits. You could then play these via the pads MPC style. It's a clever little app this, and deserves a lot more attention than I've been giving it...

  • @monzo Agreed. The interface (for a cack-handed monster like me) is so simple. And the user kits work very well. Bringing in bass loops and then randomizing really gives you a bunch of immediate and different feels. Can do a lot (and easily which for me is huge as regards not needing to crack the code to make music etc).

  • Yeah, we should give the fixes a test and go update our reviews. The more $ they get, the more likely Fingerlabs will keep improving it. I really like its simplicity and large library of samples to choose from.

    When you're right you're right....

  • Nice update, but subdivisions, please...

  • You're a hard and hungry man Mister Blanco :)

  • I want AudioCopy and DropBox export to work. AC is fine now. DB export still opens DFX. Oh well...

  • @anickt Same here. Hadn't tried DB. Interesting it opens DB and wants to confirm the account but then opens DFX and DB just hangs while DM1 tries to connect. I wonder if there's a workaround? I have audiocopied at least 30 thirty things without any problem and for that I'm grateful (and I guess a workaround is to get them into AS and then send them to DB from there, but still....).

  • The FX page seems to have a couple small problems. It'll show them as off even when they're on, and both set to overdrive even if it's another app. And the little dot disappears when you aren't pressing on the XY grid. The effects still sound fine though. I feel bad pointing out this stuff whenever they just finish updating something, but it's more because I really like the app and don't want small fixable stuff to be hindered. I wonder why there's always some sort of issue lingering though? Maybe their code's been getting really large and hard to maintain.

  • @reverberator
I see that too. They've had similar problem on FX page before.

  • Used this tonight and it sounded a bit ropey. Unless my ears are playing up I'm sure it sounded better than this last time I used it...
