I'm waiting for the Apple watch version of Auria. Actually that brings up a good point. Does the watch have any port whatsoever? It charges inductively from what I've seen.
Imagine Thesys on Apple Watch
Pretty sure it's all wifi/Bluetooth. There's magic in the air!
Don't forget that with Thesys you can double tap to make it bigger ;-)
Does it have a hdmi output? ;P
I want iStrobosoft on my watch and also I think it could be cool to use it to control effects, change presets, start/stop recording and stuff like that. I want to mount one onto my guitar.
For $10,000 iWatch better be able to do MIDI to my iPad at sub-10ms latency with no jitter. (14-bit control changes for 3-D gestures, accelerometer/ gyro, ambient lighting, and pulse-rate).
sorry... I guess I'm still bitter and shocked by the price. and a little resentful that they are developing products that won't have a lot of usefulness for musicians :-b how dare they!
I'm holding out for that Pete Townshend windmill gesture app for Guitarism!
I'm wondering if CarPlay will support Bluetooth MIDI.
A steering wheel midi drum trigger! Love it!
I do plan to make TonalEnergy Tuner support the watch, FWIW. Because why not?
Disappointing they haven't exposed the sensors or the taptic feedback control to the public yet.
Actually a tuner would be feasible as long as it has a mic built in. That, I don't know.
How about an app for the dj's; the harder you pump your fist in the air, the louder the volume gets on your Gold MackBook Pro shuffling iTunes....right? Right!?
On a serious note, I do think that it'd be interesting to have pitch bends, modulations, and general "dynamic gestures" to manipulate sounds. Not just the weird awesome electronic theramin stuff (though that would be great too) but dramatic, sweeping ups and downs of organic samples. Imagine maestro hand movements. @sonosaurus ?!?
It does, but like ALL the other sensors on it, there is no "regular" developer access to them yet. So the phone would have to be nearby for it to work. Still useful, but not ideal.
Apple should include the "fource-touch" thing into the next iPad/iPhones as well. This could be add the missing third dimension for the virtual controls.
Does that mean you have to get a Watch to test on @sonosaurus?
Apple should gift sonosaurus the 18000€ one
No, it means they did not include any way for a developer to access sensors in the public SDK they released. Obviously, Apple and other select groups (Nike, etc) have access to a private API that lets them, but it might be a while before Apple exposes that stuff to everyone.
I do intend to ask them if I have the opportunity
