Did this as a collaboration with my brother David Tonning-guitar myself doing the vocal.
The story goes, this poem was written on a napkin by a nurse in WWII. It was turned into a song by John Gorka and covered by David Wilcox. Cubasis, audio share, and final touch.

@Bootsy Well done, both of you. Soulful vocals. You have a good voice. However much you'e using it, use it some more. No idea if this was one take or fifty puzzle pieces put together, but it sounds like one take which is the proof of the trick of it. All that was missing was the particular kind of sound a medium-sized hall makes when it breaks into applause after their hush at a quiet and sensitive song. Could always dub it on. No one here will rat you out. Promise

@JohnnyGoodyear, too funny! It's many takes, but one take all the way thru, no puzzle pieces:). This was tough to get the timing down as he's in MI and I'm in CO. Coming in before the guitar starts and trying to get it to land right took a bit. Still not thrilled with the beginning but I'm tired! Thanks so much for your comments, you have a verbal eloquence like no other!
