Nice... is there any different from the iPad version? I just ask because i would prefer it for my iPhone but i don't want miss features.

It doesn't have the single note input modes the iPad version has, because they don't make sense on the iPhone, since melodies would be very hard to play like that.

Other than that it's exactly like SoundPrism Electro for iPad.

Soundprism pro is a universal app. Why this app is not?

We found out that making universal apps for apps that already existed on iPad before just didn't make any sense financially. We're professional developers in that making music apps is the only thing we do.

The market for iPhone music apps is smaller than the market for iPad music apps and iPhone/iPod touch users are just not willing to pay a higher price (of an iPad app) for something that they can use on their iPhone.

I could dance around the topic but I won't: it's just not feasible to make an iPhone app and not charge for it. It adds a lot of support load because we now have so many screen resolutions and aspect ratios for iPhone class devices, too. If you feel like the price for the iPhone version is too high or you don't need it - by all means - don't buy it. If you like it, get it.

I hope this was a helpful answer.

  • Seems reasonable enough to me.

  • Appreciate the straightforwardosity.

  • Yes, thank's for this clarification.

  • It pays to be honest ^

Congrats on getting the new version out. Great demo/ intro video too.

Thanks. It just makes more sense for us to charge a price that allows us to keep supporting an app after we release it.

  • Definitely please keep supporting Electro. I've loved the original for years, but I'm playing Electro all the time now, it's very addictive for me, both jamming and composing.

So cool to hear. In general as a Sound designer I would love to hear your guys Feedback on the sounds. Do they Appeal to you, do they get you playing, are you missing anything etc.

I am always glad to receive Feedback on my work its the most interesting part aside of actually creating Sound, getting to know what it does with a listener/user.

    Hello developer @Sebastian

As an ipad user of Soundprism Electro, I have found that the strip bar for modulation is too long; the length. By your iphone SP Electro demo, I see that left thumb can not move that distance naturally on ipad screen to have better control.

    My question:

    1. I wonder can you shorten the bar up/down distance to make better performance adjustment on iPad?

    2. In addition, if there is a way to adjust cc number for cutoff and reso modulation?

Great suggestions. We're going to keep them in mind for future updates of the iPad and iPhone version. Currently you cannot change the CC but you could use something like MidiBridge to do this.

  • Is the $2.99 regular price, or intro pricing?

It's an introductory price, but to be entirely honest I don't know if we're going to change it or not. We're still trying to figure out what a good price is on iPhone.

I suggest you make bundle purchase for exising Ipad SP Pro and Electro user; says $1 for Electro iPhone version upgrade.

I believe you can immediately having bulk sales cash swarm to you for loyal patrons. Its good to see this actions. It is not a cash problem, it is a bond that we simply love you the "Soundprism Pro". This is the reason yesterday I ask you. Absolutely not the $3 problem.

Agreed. It's my favorite controller for all my synths. If I'm using a synth, then most likely I am using Electro as well. It's like, I don't leave home without it.

As much as I would like all my apps to be universal, I understand the need for developers to charge for their apps. I know little about midi, and even less about programming and making an app. It seems fair to be compensated for your work.

We can't make a Bundle with apps that support both iPad and iPhone only. It's a restriction of the Bundle mechanic.

  • oh! see! No worries @Sebastian
Soundprism IAP for extra functions I will pay for them in the future. Wishing you millions success!

  • Thank you for 6+ UI! :)

    I was sad I couldn't get Electro since I don't have a (functioning) iPad...

  • @o_imseng I like the combination of Electricity/Sawtooth/Indicator/Big Reverb the best. If you can create some more hot sounds like that, I'd happily pay more. I really like the sounds you have created for Electro so far...

  • Congrats Sebastian and team.

Also, high five for being open about the realities of pricing.
