Converting waves to mp3s.
I needed to email a short bit of music (wave file) and thought I could convert into an mp3 in audioshare, but this doesn't seem to be possible. How are people doing this on an iPad?

Why not use iTunes?
Audioshare converts to M4A.
Don't I have to be attached to a computer to do that?
Are those files bigger than mp3s?
I think m4a files tend to be a bit smaller than similar fidelity mp3 files, but I'm not certain.
From the apps I have, MasterRecord and Final Touch can both convert to mp3, as well as processing audio, of course.

Audio Mastering will convert to mp3.
AAC is said to be better than MP3. Rooms! can do this conversion. Long-tap an entry in the Files view to get the file actions.

huh... can FT convert from ogg to mp3?
@telecode101 I don't think it can. I haven't tried all of the formats, but as far as I can see, Final Touch and MasterRecord can both deal with: .aif, .wav, .m4a, .mp3 and .flac. Didn't see .ogg mentioned.
Pretty sure you can do this with Garage Band. I made a bunch of ring tones a while back and then exported them as MP3's. It's the only way I found to create iPhone ringtones directly without a lot of hoo haw.
