Thanks for the info, guys!
yes it's too bad this rather interesting feature is not in the iMS-20. The iVCS3 has it.
i really hope Korg is reading this thread-! iMS-20 In the effect slot...
IMS-20 as an effect is a must...routing audio through the synth is part of what makes it so appealing.
Also, despite the fixed midi channels, you can get a lot out of this app (and iPolysix) if you have a multichannel midi sequencer.

Agreed. In the effects slot would put the "MS-20" in the iMS-20!
Try the wayback machine
Not hard to find though.

The MS20 is my all time favorite synth. I had mine for probably decade before selling it and I miss it dearly. Does this compare even a little bit? It’s the only Korg app I don’t own (well this and Mono/Poly).
Thanks! Seems like Korg might’ve nailed it! Considering this one now.
When I was young it was a gift from my parents the real MS20 , it is still at my parents home and still work very well. This vintage harware was a good investment as it seems that if I resale it the price should be quite high.
What was the price of MS20 hardware when it was release ?
From the Perfect Circuit website:
“When Korg released the MS-20 in 1978, it was hoping to pioneer the next bestseller in semi-modular synths. Priced at just $750 ($2,950 adjusted for inflation), the powerful monophonic synth was a step up from the MS-10, its smaller sibling which was released the same year. This made it more affordable than the ARP Odyssey ($1,295), the Minimoog Model D ($1,595) and the Electrocomp EML-101 ($1,495). “
K2 is the current cheap Behringer hardware knock off version. It’s on my list, ever since I made the most extraordinary electronic screams on the Korg’s little brother the MS10, which I owned for over 30 years. Such an evil synth…![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I have the app, and it is really great, but still, I yearn to viciously twist a physical knob and hear the music of the children of the night again…
Not sure the k2 have the great sound of the real Korg MS10 or MS20 , Korg sound is unique.
The price of a second hand MS20 is around 1000 usd
I tried the K2 in person once, and it’s not quite the same honestly. Not horrible but there’s magic in MS20 that seems nearly impossible to replicate. The MS20 Mini isn’t far off price wise. Especially used.
Interesting. Is the mini a real synth, or just a fancy controller for the app? Update: read the SOS review of the mini, checked the s/h prices price of the mini (real one, not the iMS-20). Now I want one!
The Mini is the real deal. It’s the one I had from release day up until a couple years ago. My favorite synth ever and it’s not even close.
Is it bad of me that the thing I like best about certain synths is their performative Dr. who-ness? That my love of modular is as much about the look of being a mad scientist, the act of doing crazy things, making crazy noises, more than actually, you know, sensibly recording them to make proper songs?![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Not at all, I love the sensation side of it just as much as anything else, no need for eyes when you can feel the knobs and buttons…
