I am having withdrawal symptoms!
Where is Waldorf Attack and Synthmaster, it's taking too long.
I haven't bought something great for a long time.

Funny, aint it, we were just touching on this in the next room. Timing really is everything and the next object that comes along and gets a positive word or two from folks on the forum will benefit from PENT UP APP LUST.
Getting whichever comes first here then the other perhaps after the Auria release. Time will tell.
Just properly bought FCPX; LPX; Compressor; Motion with the weekend paypal iTunes 25% offer, so bit spent out, but it’s amazing how it’s possible to spend the cost of an iPad on just software for the Mac.
It's been a slow year so far....no-one wants my money...
I really must not buy any more synths. I simply don't use them. I just use the synths in Gadget to within an inch of their lives - plus a few 'crazy sound makers' like Spring Sound or Impactor for FXs and samples.
Yet, I have all the big iOS synths because, you know, I had to buy them. Zed Synth, iProphet, iSem... have them, never used them at all. Z3ta and Thor are cool - but i'm finding ways to make similar sounds in Gadget.
I need to save my money for Auria plugins like ProQ and Saturn I think. Much more sensible.
Yep.
I have a similar issue with getting all the cool synths, but as someone who also has almost all the fab filter and PSP Auria plugins, I can tell you they get a LOT more regular use than any free-standing synth
Yes. My next purchase will be the Auria pro upgrade. I almost had a weak moment last night to buy Tera, but I do not need another synth unless it writes a #1 hit as part of the feature list. Other than that, there's no sound I can't make with the tools I already have.
Synthmaster looks cool, but I have to remind myself that I don't need it. Heck, I'm doing an entire night of 80's songs tomorrow night using just sunrizer on an iPod touch (well, for iOS I mean, I also use my bass guitar and xio synth). If I can cover that with sunrizer (the first music app that I bought 3.5 years ago), no need for more distraction.
where is the random bug fixed elastic drums, that's what I'm looking for
Yes, Saturn. You will like it. Once you've used Pro-Q you will wonder how you got anything done before it.
That's a point, I need to save some cash to buy Auria...
I need to save some cash for the new Auria
Any idea what the price might be? I've been holding off buying the current version due to a new version on the cards
No idea. Sorry
@monzo, buy it now for $25 and upgrade to pro when that's out. From what rim has said the upgrade path plus the regular price of auria will be similar in pricing structure to buying pro outright. Who knows, maybe there will even be a savings. All I know is auria is worth every penny.
Take the time to get to know it now so the upgrade takes less time to learn. Using just the built in effects you'll get a nice mix going on iPad 2, wav files don't tax the processor much. Print any IAA or audiobus effects as well.
Thanks - good advice - I'll take a look!
I hope we see some other apps like Egoist jump aboard the Auria train like the current FX like Turnado & Wow filter.....now that would be super cool....
Borderlands Granular version 2 is about to drop in our laps, I check iTunes maybe five or six times a day for some news, I just love the "Minority Report" inspired interface and expect great things musically from this little gem. The developer has always said it would be a free update but I wonder if it is possible to have both versions on the same iPad.
This is a DEAD period compared to the very high (unrealistic?) standards of the previous 16 months or so I had been following iOS music and binge purchasing apps. But it's for the best. I'm already at the point where I have way more stuff than I possibly have time/use for, so it was becoming sort of like a tax on me - kinda like a lottery addiction.
We need the cohesion to improve now.....hopefully 8.3 will help bring the big guns out in style
Worthwhile releases have definately slowed down! Plenty of room for both, Attack and Synthmaster however. I would think one of the two should appear this week or next though.
hope auria pro REALLY shows up in "spring".Thats all i need/want.And iOS 8.3
Looking for more affordable options before Auria though, I just spent way too much on the new DJ setup for the year but on the plus side, the iPad has never sounded any better then now! 2400 watts of IPad is one hell of a sound even at 1/4 volume!
I'll keep buying synths. I'm not worried about quiet weeks, and don't mind waiting for quality apps. (What I do mind waiting for are MAJOR bug fixes on apps that I've already purchased.)
This. All of it.
Any developer with a synth ready to release should do it now, there's a lot of app-addicts desperate for a new thing. Heck I'd even buy something by Retronyms.
I think the Elastic Drum update/release is coming at a very propitious time....
Too funny! FabFilters is my substitute drug
Heck I'd even buy something by Retronyms.
Now that's just crazy talk!
