Gadget sync to Loopy HD

Hi, I've been trying to work this out for a few days but have settled on the conclusion that I must be too stoopid to work out for myself how to get Gadget to sync to the clock coming from Loopy HD. I've tried it with clock output toggled on and off for Gadget in Loopy, MIDI Sync on all 3 settings in Gadget, starting both apps in different order, restarting the iPad, I upgraded my iPad from 7 to 8 in case it was something only recently supported and have googled till my Google went lame. Still I can't get gadget to start when I click play in loopy. I'm trying to record short audio loops alongside my gadget tracks so that I can import them into Bilbao. Is this possible?

  • Works for me. Gadget set to Ext. Loopy midi clock unchecked. It doesn't set the tempo though.

  • And to reinforce the idea that vocalising your problem can spur you to work out the answer, I sussed it almost immediately afterwards.. Turns out that I had given up too early on trying it within AudioBus itself. Having Gadget and Loopy sharing the input slot somehow links them up. I didn't think AudioBus had any MIDI functionality?

  • @Fitz using AudioBus?

  • Both with and without. But makes sense with Audiobus if you're going to record.

  • Strange that mine will only sync within AudioBus then.

  • sorry for hijacking, but does it work reliably?

  • @dermichi yes, it seems to in AudioBus
