Laplace and Nanostudio on sale

Laplace from 5.99 to 3.99

Nanostudio from 13.99 to 6.99

I haven't been contributing to the forum as I am very occupied with work but thought I could make you spend some money.

I have Laplace and I love it. Senior member @Syrupcore is constantly raving about Nanostudio.

  • The Professor does love NS and for good reason. And if you don't have it then this is a) a great price and b) perhaps even a smart investment as at some point we've been promised an NS2 and unless it's a separate item the upgrade path might prove to be a good one to have taken prior advantage of.

  • Laplace is very cool! Addicting.

Macao95 Thanks for the post, Great time of year for an app sale (hint to other developers) just bought Laplace, I really like it for ethnic/world music type sounds.

    Who you calling senior, señor?

From the sounds of it, NS 2 will be an entirely new app.

  • Do i need another synth???

  • Hmm... I don't have any physical modelling synths...

  • @musikmachine No, you don't need another synth. But, yes, you want both of these apps. They're great. :)

Laplace doesn't sound like anything else on iOS to my ears and it wins at playability by having pretty much all of the controls on a single page. Tim @ discchord did a good overview video.

    Nanostudio, because.

  • Cheers, grabbed it last night and then TC-11 2.0 drops!

  • thanks. is the NS IAP also on sale? was it always $5 for the 16 track upgrade?

  • edited March 2015

TC-11 looks very funky but I cant take a synth with no keyboard seriously. Will wait for a sunrizer sale.

@telecode101 I'm pretty sure that Nanostudio IAP is at it's constant price point, at least I remember paying the UK equivalent 4 years back (£2.99). Still one of the best music apps.

As for TC-11 not having a keyboard....that is the very reason it is a SERIOUSLY great iPad synth. Utilising the touchscreen in ways that rewards your time with it in a hugely satisfying manner.

Fair enough. But if it doesnt have a keyboard, how do you know what key you are in when you are playing e.t.c.? (I guess I have to try a demo?)

And you really don't want to wait for a sunrizer pricedrop, shame on you ;-) It's well worth the asking price.I'll snag Laplace now.

Btw,is Laplace working reliable as IAA (in cubasis for example)? How about (arp) sync?

    What about a Theremin. ;)

  • I remember way back :) in the ol days when the first music apps came out. Many were toys, but the Nanostudio app came out and I don't remember it having any bugs upon release either. That is just sick programming. Always solid and easy to use interface.

The TC-11 looks like fun. Sounds versatile.

    Anyone?

  • I get what you mean. But seriously, I guess it depends how and what you do with the iPad. In my case, I am adding and layering sythns and guitar parts. I have to have some idea what key I am in and where I can go with it.

  • edited March 2015

You can constrain the notes to a specified key and scale. You can even split up the screen and have one part play notes from one scale, and another play notes from a different scale.

Can't speak to the ARP sync, but Laplace works straight away as an IAA in Cubasis for me (Air1/8.2).

  • I understand what you're saying @telecode101 but watch this Transona Lead vid and check out the Quick Tuning. This makes TC much more easily usable as a pitched instrument:
