No more playing MP4 audio in Audioshare?

Anyone else found they can no longer play YouTube video (or similar) MP4s for the audio in Audioshare?

Files are still showing up but now there's no wave form or play button. (iPhone 6 iOS8)

    @Matt_Fletcher_2000 Yeah...just checked on iPhone 6!

    And you cannot convert to audio either....very poor show....and suspiciously quiet on the forum....

    ....maybe a bug perhaps?

  • ..just checked and its the same issue on iPad Air 2 latest updates :(

    @j_liljedahl could you comment on this?

  • Could be a 'bug'...

    I just renamed one of my downloaded movies and changed the .mp4 extension to .m4a and it plays back just fine.

    I used http://www.clipconverter.cc (beware of pop-ups) to save the file...

  • Thank you @Samu ... a perfect workaround! You can just change the extension directly in audioshare to .m4a and it works fine.

    Very much appreciated.

  • Bravo.........Bravo.........panic over.....

  • Great workaround! Yes, AudioShare's way of detecting file "playability" changed in 2.7 to simply look at the filename ending, since this is a lot faster than trying to open each file as an audiofile, most noticeable with folders with many many files in it. I'll add "video" as a playable file type in a later update.
