Pro Midi update

A few new features, but the one I'm most excited about is full CC 0-127 added.

  • Any sign of a metronome yet?

That's next on the list, got an email reply from one of the devs yesterday :)

Didn't it always have this? Or am I misunderstanding? You could always paint in midi ccs in the automation lanes.

  • I thought it was limited though...not covering all 128 CCs. It was listed on the app store as a new feature, so I assume that was how it was previously.

  • Ah. Ok. Thanks.

  • A metronome would be great.

I am a fan of ProMidi but I have a problem with having to reconnect my iOS synths every time I revisit a project.

  • Hello,
New version 1.4 with metronome and midi record fix (bug in 1.3 if a lot of notes coming) where uploaded to appstore. It's now with status "Waiting for review". Seems in next week it will be approved by apple.

  • @Mark, this seems a problem with inter-audio interface. You must open and then close all synths that you used manually (from home screen) With audiobus2 support I hope it will eork better than inter-audio

  • Thank God if the metronome comes. I am devoting an entire midi channel to a hihat from TJ for a click track!

Despite its quirks I am finding ProMidi to be the most powerful, flexible and easy to use of all current options when it comes to sequencing iOS synths.

Congrats to Wiksnet and may the excellent updates keep coming!

i really tried to like ProMidi but what's the point in a loop based music production app when i have to engage looping for each clip seperatly?

and most of my emails were ignored by the devs...

  • @dermichl That's one of the things I like about it. Nevertheless, I think this update fixes that issue.

  • You can play all clips in a row with a single press.

  • just updated, metronome is finally here :)

  • Huzzah!

  • Not updated here yet. Is there other good news besides metronome?

  • it also says a midi record bug from v1.3 is fixed but I've not spent much time with Pro midi recently to know what that was...

  • I've grown to rely on this app and now I've come over all angsty over updating. (Had a bad Elastic Drums experience lately).

Can I change the grid to triplets? I know I can quantize to triplets but I can't figure out the triplet grid.

  • 4 beats 3 steps per beat set under 'Sequence Length'.

If more control is needed options are under advanced, too bad only 32 steps maximum...

  • Anybody know of any other vids for this, apart from the below thesoundtestroomUS, from Nov 2014?:

Where can I find 'Sequence Lenght' in Pro Midi please? I was looking for it and for any 'advanced' settings menu but all I found was a cute typo.

  • Position the arrows on the timeline. Double-click on the space between the arrows to loop the sequence.

  • @firejan82 Sorry i was thinking about Seekbeat :(

@Samu That's OK. I guess there is no triplet grid. No big deal, hopefully a future update.
