Any comments on Igor Vasiliev's other apps?

Well all his apps are on sale (not just Audio Mastering which I just bought) so I figured I'd ask what are people's impressions of the reverb, tape recorder, master effects.

Comments

  • Altispace is wonderful - I use it pretty much on everything.

MasterFX is very nice too - I use it frequently and find it to be an efficient way to add multiple high quality FX.

Don't have (a need for) the tape app.

  • Agree on Altispace - great app... though my DAW has this effect built in so I don't use it anymore. Altispace does offer more control however.

  • His apps are great. Easy to use, great quality. Great value for the $$.

  • Master Record is great. It can add real character to a mix. My prefered iOS mastering chain is Cubasis through Final Touch and into Master Record.

  • I've done things with his midiSequencer that I can't do in any other app. It reaches into those deep MIDI places that are hard to scratch. The interface is a bit clunky, but once the logic of it is grasped, it is hands down the best top level sequencer out there, a sequencer of sequencers if you get my meaning.

  • Oh - and of course, there's the magnificent Soundscaper!!! Although of course the OP didn't ask about that :-)

What he said :) I like Master Record for tape saturation. Much like Stereo Designer, a little bit can go a long way.

  • Looks like you can get a bundle for $20.

  • I think Altispace is the best reverb on IOS Period. Master FX is my Acoustic Guitar app, and I have all the others. Audio Mastering is fantastic, and I don't know why I don't have Master Record, I should if the others are that great. I love a ton of apps, but Igor's are very special and I always go to them first. Just think if he made a DAW!

  • They are all great but would grab Altispace first if you ding have it

I'm almost sold. I'd add it to ProMidi, Genome, MidiSequencer, B-Step, Thesys and Auxy in my hunt for sequencing nirvana. But no update for two years?
