  • How many of us have seen a bargain and thought “ooh, I'll have that”, only to discover I can't purchase it because I already had it.

  • It's like lighting a cig and then noticing the old one burning away on the lip of the ashtray.

  • Or "Irish Handcuffs" because you forgot you had a beer opened already, so now you're walking around with two in hand.

  • I picked up the vcvcbc songwriting sketch pad, cool ideas. I've been singing into audioshare but I always forget to find those ideas again. Piece by piece fits the way I work.

Thanks. Bought it based on this. Might use it one day :)

  • Thesys and midi pattern sequencer are the only two on there that I both don't own and are always tempting me.

Same here. Will blame you (both) if I make no sense out of it, but will offer you no publishing slice if I am somehow transformed :)

  • No SoundScaper sale?

    :(

I guess I'll just have to stick to being a cheapskate.

  • it was on sale a few weeks back for $1 off. :-)> @1P18 said:

  • Cool, got SunVox yesterday for $3. Maybe I'll learn to use it someday ;)

    +1

  • So iPhrophet or FM4? Maybe Altispace. Having $70 in iTunes credit really makes sales like this extremely hard not to buy everything.

  • Soundscaper is only 6.99 today! Still considering borderlands myself.

Both good apps, but out of the two Borderlands is the one I've been using most since I bought them.

  • GuitarToolkit is one of my faves for theory. One of the things I really like is choosing a scale, finding chords that work in that scale, and picking from those to send to a chord sheet.

I'm curious about VCVCBC. Any opinions one that's?

Just saw Dougs vid on Borderlands, very nice app. Don't know why the app is mentioned here cause it is not on sale I think (perhaps it was), it is € 9,99 in the app store (or is that a sale). Great vid, interesting app. Not shure if I will buy it though, bought some (better to say: a lot of) apps in the past (Nave as example) which I never use. But Borderlands in Dougs vid is really tempting to buy.

Picked up GuitarCapo yesterday. Good app!

  • I wouldn't bother with vcvcbc @funjunkie27 I bought it yesterday after watching the tutorial videos. Seems like a great idea but it is full of bugs and makes no sense. Shame really. I haven't considered asking for a refund on an app before but this one might push me to it.

    Oops, just bought it ....:(....hmmm.....

Btw: I see that NanoStudio is just added, I must investigate that one. It is 50% off, price is now € 6,99.

  • Thanks for the insight @Jocphone.

I did the usual. Told myself I could afford the expensive app I wanted, and ended up buy half a dozen cheap apps I'll probably never use, but ended up costing the same as the one I couldn't afford..Flux:FX - I'll get you one day..

Wait, I'm not the only dumbass in the world? Thank you!

  • Too bad the Auria Plug-ins aren't on sale...I bet they'd sell a lot in anticipation of Pro.I know I'd buy a few !

Yeah, dumbass is a good word for how I felt when I got the App Store receipt!

    For Realz!

  • I picked up Audio Mastering, AltiSpace and the tape one (forget the name of it at the moment) as well as iSEM and Borderlands. The ones I really wanted to go on sale like Nave, Animoog, Sunrizer, Auria fabfilter plugins, didn't go on sale. Borderlands is cool but I've yet to imagine it beyond doing ambient kind of music. I'm still busy enough with the iOS synths I got that I can continue to wait for sales down the road.

  • Sounds like a nice bag of goodies! :-)

  • Well, bit the bullet and now I've got iSymphonic downloading. Thinking about getting Gestrument next, mostly so I can stop indecisively considering it every time it comes up. What have ya'll been getting so far this Easter?

  • I got thesys. Alas, lost my CCK so I've yet to open it. Looking forward to syncing it with midiSequencer, both driving hardware.

Pro midi has just had a big price drop (60% off) and an update https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/id766756959?mt=8#
It appears lots of people here love it, comments please, I don't use midi much but would like to learn more, Is this a good buy?

Edit: I just tried to buy but notice said it is being modified

  • I think it is a good one and very inexpensive for what it can do.

I just bought it half an hour ago and I like what I'm seeing so far
