Don't know if he's a member but the guy explains his setup in the description but it's all done with soundfonts, have a listen. The video is great too.

It's one app i've thought about buying a few times but on the strength of this i think it will, remians to be seen if i can create anything as immersive. :)

    I believe this one is on sale at the moment. I've been so tempted, but I dunno. This is the best example of Gestrument in use I've heard to date.

    I use gestrument quite often... Especially now with midimux.

    To this day my favorite track I made was with gestrument and supermanetron. Simple but effective. http://www.audiomicro.com/mellotron-mystery-scary-royalty-free-stock-music-1113259

    Yes you can hear the clicks, but I like that.

    That's why i posted, got me down off the fence. It's actually got presets by the guy, he's called Kamelmauz.

    Great stuff! Yeah it's a really expressive instrument, really enjoyable to play and explore other musical structures.

    Thanks for that excellent share. I looked at the other vides posted by Stephen Calhoun on the vimeo site.
    The link below has two ipads running gestrument and a third track (all live) is droning a pedal steal guitar with an eBow (had one of those back in the early 80's). The video also has on screen comments on what he is doing. learned some new gestrument tricks;)

    go ahead and buy it (iphone version too)! Gestrument can also send it's midi to other apps (1 ipad drives alchemy in this vid). Another fantastic option is to connect gestrument to the microsoft Kinect device. (I wish TC-Data had this Kinect interface!).

    You know i saw that but didn't get as far as watching it. I've got a hothand usb which works so thanks for posting, now i'll just have to find an orchestra! :P

    The applications for live use are great though. I really hope TC-Data gets AB support and midi sync in the future.

    @aleyas i was using it to play a bassline over a track earlier using the hothand, i can post a sample if you want but you can pretty much use it for anything, it will be interesting to set up all 8 voices and record out the parts in Live. :)

    It's at times like these i really wish Gadget was multitimbral. :(
