Turnado : is it worth if... ?
Hi, I love effects and already own : AUFX:all ; Flux:FX ; DFX ; AudioReverb ; Master FX ; those in JamUp Pro (except in-app ones) and those in ToneStack.
What can Turnado add or do that the others combined can't ?
I ask this question 'cause even if I tempted to buy it while it's on sale, it's UI with lots of SO TINY thing frightens me... I wonder if I'd love to play with it or if I'd simply let it lost in a junk folder on the iPad...
The fact that it shows up as a plug-in in Auria is a good point I suppose, to load multiple instances...

turnado allows you very flexible, if you want wild and crazy effects. if you want to do that, highly recommended
but you'll have to live with the tiny and pixellated interface
I have to say, now that flux exists, I tend to use that, because the interface is so much more touch friendly
in terms of the tiny interface -- the playing interface of turnado is fine, it is just the editing screens that are hurting the eyes, and you don't have to spend much time in there because there are plenty very good presets
I've got most of the FX you've listed and still tend to favour Turnado if I want more than one effect. I've just got Auria and apparently you can automate Turnado with it, so I'll use it even more. Plus Turnado is very CPU friendly.
I like Flux a lot but I've got lot of problems and glitches with it... Turnado seems to be "rock solid" as many users say.
I've got the habit to also start from scratch when I use effects... I rarely even save presets (except in JamUp and ToneStack), so I need to be confortable to edit and experiment with pleasure.
That seems to be the very good side of Turnado over all the others...
if you live in Europe, I'd say definitely get it, try it and return it if you don't like it
It's a solution... I've done this to get rid of Session Band apps, and effectively, I had no problem to be refunded by Apple.
I find Turnado fantastic, you drag and drop the FX over the active FX, there are 24 FX each with ~15-25+ presets each and factory bank and edit page for further fine tuning, Rock solid
It's got no rival;-)
PS my 2 cents
Nothing euro- centric about Apple giving refunds...
Of course, if you have a PC, all sugarbytes apps have PC/Mac equivalents with demos so you can test them first.
Don't have Flux but Turnado differs from the others in that it's sepcial happy place is in stacking and real time adjusting (via LFO, XY pad, envelope...) of effects.
The more I get into this thing, the more I realise how powerful it is. Almost like a Native Instrument's 'Molekular' for iOS !
Well, 9.99€ aren't a fortune ; I think I'm going to try it...
Turnado is totally worth it!
