Monitoring / Playback in Cubasis
Hi!
I want to record some vocals into Cubasis. I have an old M-Audio Fast Track I can plug a mic into, and I found it works if I connect it to my iPad via a powered USB hub and CCK However, I can't monitor the input, and I can't playback the track unless I unplug the CCK. Is there a way around this?
Any help/advice gratefully received! :-)

Doesn't your Fast Track have a audio out or headphone connection on it? This would be the typical way for an external audio interface. The iPad's internal mic/speaker and headphone jack are disabled once an external interface is connected and recognized.
Now I'm proper embarrassed about posting such a newbie question. Why didn't I think of that!
Thanks Ganthofer for your very quick reply. All sorted!
When I use the Griffin Studio Connect I can still use the iPad speaker jack for monitoring actually.
@Tritonman - I could be mistaken on the headphone jack being automatically disconnected, but the internal mic/speakers definitely are. So maybe headphones will still always work, haven't tried and don't know if there is a difference between docking devices and the CCK with regards to the headphone jack.
Headphone jack functionality varies App to App. Some mute it, some replicate their main out on it, some let you route something else to it (Auria, for one - sometimes, but can also blow speakers at other times, so beware).
