Black Magik: ALCHEMY MOBILE as a USEFUL APP ----STILL!

I will just leave this here.

Here is the"short bus" fix to getting back all of your presets back to Alchemy:

-Download Alchemy VST (presets) to your MAC or PC
-Play and record 4 bar C3 notes on the DAW of your choice(the easiest the better) IMO Sony Acid is actually the easiest with basic things like this.
-You need to get this "sample" to your Alchemy Mobile. So, publish or transfer the note or ARP sample to the web or through email to your Audiopaste.
-On ALCHEMY - Go to Create your own preset and import the "preset" which is really just a sample put through the Alchemy synth matrix and controls (your interface knobs and faders)

99% of your presets are found there and can be transposed from manually to your Mobile Alchemy app.

  • Before you inform me of the ways to use Itunes to file share- iamaware

There are many issues with that method and I was trying to convey a work around to the "nth" degree.

I wasn't sure if people realized that depth you have with Alchemy in designing sound patches.

One C3 sample does not a new preset make. And the Alchemy VST is not going to contain any of the expansions that people are trying to get back in the first place.

  • Granted.

I think it is a good overall starting point to further understand the possibilities of Alchemy.

I figure anyone who doesn't understand the preset loading setting and potential prior to this it would be a fun and informative way for them to explore sound creation.

Naturally, proper synth patch and sound design is a science, while this is a mere novelty for those frustrated with Alchemy feeling it has no value any longer due to library deletion.

There are some individuals who can very well take this formula, twisting and probing it to an amazing place. That isn't everyone. Far too many people are bound by conventional wisdom, tech jargon, and egos.

As far as the "expansions " not being "exactly the same.......................... barring creativity of course. Who wants all the same things anyway?

Not sure it's worth the effort considering that the mothballed software will only run on legacy devices, running a legacy OS and will be never forward-compatible with future hardware and software releases.

    Great point.
