Is there an app that plays audio loops?
I really like in Auxy how you can trigger MIDI clips in real time and record the performance. It's so much easier than having to copy and paste loops in a DAW like Cubasis.
Is there an app where you can load 1-4 bar audio loops and play them like Auxy?

BM2 Can trigger loops in the drum machine.
The Launchpad app can with the IAP.
I tinkered around with doing it with BM2 but you have to trigger the loops using the drum pads, and they will not synch, you have to trigger then exact. At least I could not get them too.
You can also import audio loops into Loopy.
For BM2 (or Nanostudio) there is a trick: make a track in the piano roll triggering all of the loops at the same time. Then, instead of trying to trigger in real time, toggle mutes on the pads in real time. A little late or a little early wont matter as much.
Sadly, Loop Twister is gone.
@syrupcore That is a really good idea. Never thought about that. I may have to download BM2 again and try it out.
That's too bad there isn't an app but BM2 with mute is an option. Thanks for suggesting it.
I think the launchpad in app purchase is worth it for this. You can pick how they play as well, and on what beat it will trigger.
Another good idea especially if you like follow actions. sequence multiple variations of your beat in the impc pro, then make sure that your program/kit is set so that all pads choke each other, then while the sequences are playing you can trigger the pads and each time you press a pad it will choke whatever sample is playing in the sequence at that time but after it plays the sequence will continue to play out from where ever it is at in the sequence.......this is something I use live with hardware drumsamplers often and it's really great for live beat juggling as well as on the fly production as you can select an empty sequencer track and record these movements. You can combine this with syrupcores suggestion for quite a dynamic and fun performance!
And this works on any app that has sequencing and sample choking
So in effect the sequencer becomes your follow actions
There are other apps as well, and the one I use also let's you record your track and pad muting into the sequencer.
Oops
@kobamoto Thanks for the suggestion. How long is the sample time? Could I fit a 4 bar music loop in a pad?
i believe so.
the best i have found thus far is LP-5. as for upcoming apps, takete and c3n loops will take it all to the next level.
What about Glitch breaks? You can load 4 loops @ a time but they must be same length. in AB you can trigger them individually by the 4 squares...
+1 for LaunchPad.
there is also protein der klang, the only one with sample on the fly and fly it in!
@markk how long can the samples be in launch pad? Could I say 4 bar musical loop on a pad? Also can the sample be in stereo? Thanks.
Yes
@Martygras Thanks for answering my question. Also I wanted to know if LaunchPad has a mixer and how robust it is.
You can download it and play with it with the included samples to see if it what you are hoping for. If you like it and its functions, you can then buy the in-App for importing your own samples. I do like Protein Der Klang as well.
There is a fader page. Each fader controls the column above each respective fader.
Bought LP-5 and there were subtle artifacts with the time stretching. It's still better than electrify nxt as at least it works but still nowhere near Ableton. What's sad is I was able to play with the same loop in the older app Looptastic and it just sounded more musical to me. It could've just been the accompanying drum loop I had but that has to be my favorite tool for playing with loops outside of Ableton. I wish some dev could buy their old code and fix it up as it was abandoned a year ago but it still rocks when it works. I'm tempted to reverting my older iphone back to an earlier ios system (that's possible right?) just for that app as looping is an integral part to my workflow.
Good news is I'm getting the hang of Launch pad but I still prefer the instant " loopiness" of Looptastic
EDIT: Ive fallen in love with launchpad recently. the key for me was filtering out through all the loops to find the ones i really like and then ORGANIZE THEM into my oen customized group with all my loops and have a loop orgy. fun times on a saturday night.
