I agree, and focus more into music, and publish a list before the hangout starts
I'm really going to make the effort to join the next one, I got the app yesterday but it was too late here, maybe an hour earlier if possible would be cool for me and Jakob
As Doug alluded, there is a free Google Hangouts app that might be required for joining on mobile devices.
I suggest a scheduled topic, even a demo, and then some free form discussion. Or vice versa. Then, share soundcould links.
The electronic music meetups I go to have the following format:
We could to a 1-hour or 90 minute version of same.
Sounds good to me John.
And a good tme was had by all - thanks, John!
I'll make a separate post asking if a developer wants to present. They can share YouTube vids and talk about their app (or hardware)
An Agenda!
And Minutes!
And Voting As Regards Motions of Censure!
Erm. No, sorry. Wrong meeting. Must be the harsh shadow of Monday blackening my mind.
Apologies.
I'm thinking users can present on any topic that they might be comfortable with. In fact, I'll offer to do a session on Different Drummer, if anyone is interested. I'm looking at an experiment to get DD to drive a source (SoundCanvas, in this case) across 16 channels.
Aside from that, I'd love to see some of the pros here touch on technique, midi, synthesis, music production, etc. There's loads of experience on the board here.
