Have had a few 'personalized' emails from them, wonder if anyone else has any thoughts/feedback...

Nice find. Looking good; unlimited is a winning feature for sure. Only thing I'd miss are the timed comments. I can't seem to find any other service that offers that. Plus I didn't see anything about private (but sharable) uploads. My main use case for that stuff is recording jam/writing sessions with friends and then being able to comment on stuff on the timeline like "let's try to build out this section".
I hear you on the comments. Seems key whether for collaborating or simple encouragement.
