Elastic drums responding to midi input messages

Is midi input officially supported? I'm sure it was responding to midi from Steppolyarp.

Have i uncovered a hidden feature? No Midi implementation chart is available.

  • Yep - Midi notes in to play the 6 drums in the latest version. It's in their manual I think.

I think they have assigned a GM drum mapping or something...

  • Oh, really? I was trying to do this in cubasis the other day, and could not for the life of me work out what keys I was supposed to hit to trigger the sodding thing, gave up after trying every single octave available to me. Maybe it's time to 'RTFM'

  • From the 1.3 manual (available from within the app):

Midi interfaces lists all available midi ports. Here you switch on the midi port, you want to receive midi messages (start/ stop/clock/note on/controller).
Midi Controller support is just at it’s very beginning and will get improved in coming updates. So far ED will play the 6 instruments with the following (GM compatible) notes on Midi channel 1: 36, 38, 39, 40, 42, 44

    I believe thats:

    C2, D2, D#2, E2, F#2, G#2

I must say when I tried firing notes at it from Poly also running on my iphone I couldn't get anything out of it - but I didn't fully investigate.
