Sampler App : 1 more time................por favor

Due to the rapidly changing and updates of apps, it is sometimes in accurate by scanning the forum's old posts regarding various apps and performance.

Here is the question.

What is the best Sampler app? Preferably, light on CPU. I am not looking for samples, I want to make samples and be able to play back on a keyboard while adjusting parameters. I would hope it also keeps notes in tune.

Thank you in advance.

  • If I understand the question right - i.e. you are talking about pitches samples (to create an instrument) rather than "one shots"...

    Thumbjam?

Although the temporary death of iFunBox in iOS8.3 my have made getting samples in to create instruments a bit more tricky.

If you'e talking about 'one shots' and 'loops' then some of the "MPC" style apps probably (Beatmaker2, iMPC, NanoStudio, that other one that looks like iMPC but is much cheaper... etc..)

  • Like everything else in iOS, it requires a chain of apps. :-D
I record my samples into Audioshare. Then open them in Beatmaker II for production=performance.

  • Also- in BM2, I can process my samples for one-shots in an MPC-type fashion, or for keyboard performance.

  • Hopefully Beathawk will someday allow to create samples.

  • Beatmaker 2 is prob closest to the old hardware type samplers in that you can set up different zones etc

  • while adjusting parameters

    What kind of parameters?
