Animoog - working for anyone on iOS 8.3 ?

Since the update, Animoog crashes for me almost constantly - mostly when it loads up. Is this the case for other people here ?
(does this on Air / Air2)

  • Just opened Animoog for 5 minutes using iPad Air (1) and iOS 8.3 and had no issues in the small time frame that I tested.

no crash at all, ios8.3 air1

  • Animoog crashed all the time for me. Deleting and reinstalling seems to have fixed the problem.

  • Working fine on my mini retina in standalone mode but no sound within AB

  • edited April 2015

Just tried it through an effect in AB and it was fine, was crashing when I first updated a couple of weeks ago
but seems ok since. Don't use it enough to say it's definitely fixed though.

  • Seems it works on 8.3 and no crashes until now. Standalone or inside audiobus. (I use it often)...I had a glitch after last AB update where every app I launched from AB was not connected to AB so reinstalled/reset fixed it...

  • Ta for the replies,

Odd one, I've tried re-instaling it and it still crashes most of the time on start-up when I try to play the default sound.

I don't use it that much, so it's not total doom and gloom, but it's a bit annoying nonetheless. Moog don't seem to be very speedy with updates either.

  • @Igneous1 ,have you try hard resetting your iPad? Also ,are you on 8.3?

  • edited April 2015

crashed direct on start up or maybe in the next 1-2minutes if not startup,

    on an Air2 iOS8.3

  • I've used it a bit since IOS 8.3, seems pretty consistantly good right now for me. Thing is I completely re-installed after a factory reset everything on my iPad after Audiobus stopped working and this seemed to have helped most apps so far.

  • No oddness here (8.3 air1).

  • Actually the reboot seemed to do the trick. I have to be honest that I used to think it was unnecessary to have to reboot when things were playing up, but maybe this is something that needs to be done in iOS land - wouldn't go down so well in the Desktop world, mind -
"Cubase/Reaper/FL Studio has just crashed again on this really important project - just reboot the computer, mate " :)

  • Animoog is still a bit flakey for me, usually have to reload it 5+ times before it settles down.

  • All my packs disappeared, so I had to re download them, otherwise no problems.
    Air 1, os8.3

  • They're working on an update right now.

  • Air 2 no.
    Air 1 yes.

  • @Sebastian: You're a very naughty boy. You're supposed to be on holiday. GO! ;-)

    You guys are the best.

  • I am glad I think I am one of the only people who doesn't like Animoog.

I could enjoy using it alone creating and edit various patches.

As far as a synth I liked to use, never really got into it.

    Probably just me.

No I'm not much of a fan either - I like the way it sounds but never got on with the editor.
