Full synthmaster not just player for iOS?

Knowing that player is more likely than not being sent to the App Store this week , I thought this comment from their Facebook page was of interest also.

SynthMaster 2.5 VST/AU Software synthesizer Some folks were unhappy as they were expecting a full,SynthMaster port to iOS. Well, step by step guys! As soon as we enable existing users to use their own presets in the Player that will let them use the Player effectively

  • Thanks, sounds positive.

  • Interesting. Synthmaster will be worth checking out for sure.

  • The dev told me that they might develop sub set(s) of the full version for iOS. Right now, the player version is the only thing that they're focusing on, and as mentioned in OP, making the iOS player version preset compatible with the desktop version (including purchased sound packs).

  • Your all going to be very happy and impressed even with player I promise you, in nearly all my tribute type videos Synthmaster features very heavily, and although it is the full 2.6 version I only had to use the presets which are identical to to the player. And the add on packs are stunning

  • Been waiting for awhile now and I am pretty sure I'm going to be having the same praise, it sounds fantastic in the promos so far!

  • Used up most of cash man...any ideas what it might go for?

The Player version of the plugin still has 6-10 adjustable parameters per patch ... at least as much editing as Alchemy iOS. I sometimes prefer it for its cleanliness, simplicity and look, though that's with me having most of the extra preset banks.

    Obviously, full version ultimately preferable.

You can sometimes get the plugin Player version for under $10 on sale, and the full version is the cheapest soft synth out there compared to those with similar power, so I imagine we'll see a good price.

  • Cool! I kept screaming for them to hurry before Cubasis or Sound Canvas took my cash.....oh well it will be worth it though.

  • Five dollars for the player and then five more for the upgrade Fo 800 or how ever many presets then like 5 or ten bucks or so depending on which if any presets u add if u do not already own them for the desktop then they would be free. I am pretty sure this was covered on another synthmaster thread a week or so ago. Great deal at any rate!

  • It will start with the Player version for free, that will have 100 presets, then you can upgrade to pro, not sure about the price but it will be cheap, upgrading to Pro will give you 800 presets,
I think the packs will be around the £5 mark, each pack contains around 50 presets but they are mainly genre specific, like EDM, Rock, Historic Synths etc etc..they are amazing and they are about 27 packs, which will give around 3500 odd sounds and because it's all synthetic it's not a big massive file size either. You can get a free version for your desktop if you want to have a play, it has 200 presets

  • Player for free?... Pay for the Pro version for the upgrade?..... Then buying add on packs? ..... Sounds like Ye Ole Camel Audio Alchemy way of yesteryear, in the way of things. Still looking forward to it when it come out tho. :-)

  • That went well. Facebook sucks. Hold on lol

Guys, you can always edit in SynthMaster, export presets to the iOS Player. That will be possible after v2.7

For iOS , rather than giving the entire synth, we might release "subsets" of the synth, like we did with the CM / BE magazine versions.

    Bulent

Could sound similar BUT you do not get the entire Alchemy factory content when you purchase the Pro version of Alchemy Mobile, do you ? With SynthMaster Player iPad, once you purchase the Factory Presets bank you'll have all 800 factory presets at your fingertips :D

Also, our iOS banks are SAME as our desktop banks. They are not reduced versions of the desktop banks content wise.

@kv331audio Sounds good. BUT I have to step into the obvious teasing vacuum and ask how you feel about being bought by Apple? :) Smiley appended to show good faith etc.

As long as Synthmaster supports their apps I'm in.
Tweakable presets sound good to me,
As long as they're not too limited. But If they sound good, I'm happy.

Well, since Apple acquired Camel Audio, how about if Steinberg acquires SynthMaster and incorporates it into Cubase and Cubasis?? That would be awesome!
    :))

  • Love the arpegistors in synthmaster player

  • So, for the free download of the app, will it include AU? or is that only if the pro version is purchased? Not that the price for the pro version is not entirely do-able. Just curious. I love Synthmaster player, it's one of my fav. ios synths, if not my fav. I have most of the expansion packs for it. Even transferred presets I made on my dT version onto my ios app.

  • I am OK with the Synthmaster player but please please make it AU compatible!

How about partnering up with Steinberg and sell your sounds as IAPs on profit-sharing or whatever basis? More sales for you.
