What about VIO?

It still appears in the input-list but doesn't work...
It's not really a must-have but for some vocal-effects is really nice!

  • I'm fairly sure they're working on it. The fact that it appears in the input list just means they've already implemented some part of the SDK but didn't finish the process when the last update to their app was submitted to apple.

  • Edit!Of course if you like it- it IS a must have!
    @sebastian thank you.

  • This would be the first vocal app for Audiobus? I could see Remaster's compressor being used together with this.

  • Yeah, you'd think theyd want ppl to get accustomed to their app before a bunch of competition comes along. harmonic dog MultiTrack is a good example of this. even though i have auria and bm2, harmonic dog is always going to be the first audiobus daw i ever used so its always in my mind as a option.

  • Yeah man,Vio,Improvox,Voicejam..maybe Vocalive..
It'll feel we'll rounded once a few of them are in..
And I'm also one of those that'd love Loopy to have effects, chorus, octave up'n down..
You see loop stations like the boss rc 505 ...turning your voice into synth ,bass, big choir , and you just drool..all that in an app, with Audiobus support, and you'd feel like a force of nature!

  • Harmony Voice is another one I'd love to have on the bus.It really works well to get
    "technical" harmony vocals etc.

  • Keeping my fingers crossed for Vio. One if my favourite apps! Hope they get the bus ticket soon....:-)

  • Dev sent me a message saying that it been given to Apple with the Audiobus fixes..
    Fingers crossed.

  • I can't wait for this one to be sorted, humming through the pulse preset is perfect for some of my work.

  • Hey guys, this is Dan from Square B.

I just wanted to let you all know that we submitted Vio to the App Store last night with Audiobus support.

We've very excited to expand Vio's potential by letting you connect it with other iOS music apps on the bus.

We appreciate the support so far!

  • Thank you!

  • That's really good news!thank you..

  • Dan, can you tell us what slots will Vio run in?

  • For now it will run only in the input slot....however I did suggest that it would be very cool in the FX slot too so maybe the update....

  • Input will be great but FX slot would be killer

  • I think Amplitube with the VocalLive plugins was the first vocal app to get on the bus. Not a dedicated vocal app, but some great plugins imo. I'll have to give this one a go now.

  • VocalLive itself will be killer. It has a few more "pedals/effects," that the Amplitube version doesnt. I was gonna refund VocaLive a s just buy the IAP for it in Amplitube to keep it all in one app until I realized that

  • The biggest difference between the dedicated app and the plugins IAP is that you can only really add ONE effect to the chain at a time as opposed to four. Still I find it to be useful. For the longest time you couldn't Audio Copy/Paste into VocalLive but you could into Aplitube so I sort of learned to work around the pedal restriction. I feel like if I throw in "I'm going to check out VIO" then I'm not as off topic as if I just leave that off. ;-)

  • Haha I gotcha I def would have like to just have everything all in one app

  • Vio uses pitch detection and only accepts a monophonic input. That's the main reason why we decided to make Vio input-slot only for now.

While I agree there could be some cool "accidents," there's also a lot of potential for people thinking it's broken.

  • It was submitted on yesterday. I'm guessing a week or less.
