Loopy hd - volca bass sync (within audiobus)

I just hooked up my volca bass to loopy via akai eie midi out. I simply selected send clock to eie in loopy settings. Volca responds to start stop but the tempo is what I can guess about 3 times the original one. When I deselected clock out in loopy volca stops responding (clearly). Anyone managed to make these or any other syncable hardware to talk to each other properly? Thanks

  • Yeah, oh wait not with loopy and volga at same time...only one at a time cause the midi chain stops with the volca's single midi input (u dig?)with eie midi out and clock from abelton worked... also then volga bass cv/sych out to other units also worked in this signal path, hooray!

  • Oh, and the tempo thing IS a trip. There is for sure a setting in the hidden functions somewhere. I totally had that thing where the volca bass or drum was lighting uber sped up, in synch but yeah obviously like x3 too fast haha. Let me know if you can't find the setting on the volca.. hope that helps

  • Cheers @oceansinspace yes I just had a look in the global settings and tried them all one by one but no change. One setting sped it up even further. Dunno. It's strange because I had a friend of mine hooking up microbrute in exactly the same way and it just worked.

I'm not too fussed to be honest. I may get brute at some point or something. Thanks anyway.

  • Mine syncs nicely with the emx2 but they are both Korgs so I would expect them to!
