Amazing!
I hope there's a way to select patches via another app. Cause its going to be a pain to play this synth Live with such a tiny patch select screen.
Not sure about that I'll ask, it does have midi learn so maybe you can. On the dot version you can add favourites I think, maybe they will add this, they do seem pretty clued in
Agreed. We are open the suggestions / feature requests.
For version 1.1 I have some ideas:
I think we will start with the basics: Program Change / Bank Change messages. but I am not sure recent MIDI controller still have dedicated buttons / controls for program change/bank change messages.
An alternative might be sending MIDI CC messages to control the preset browser. This is already implemented in SynthMaster, so we can use the same flow for the iOS Player.
Also, "SetList" management might a very useful feature to use it during live.
I really like the look of Synthmaster Player for iOS but, after the fiasco with Alchemy, I'm really nervous about sinking money into any iOS app that's dependent upon IAPs.
AWESOME!
For playing live its super important to be able to switch presets fast. In Z3TA the patch select screen remains open and I love that cause I don't really tweak knobs etc she plying live except for using the modulation wheel. So I pre program the patches how I like them and that's what use. I am really looking forward to Synthmaster for live use. I can't wait to use all the amazing sounds available!
Having the ability to select via midi CC messages is also great but I'm not such a great midi programmer. So in the future if there could be a way to have an option to have a large preset screen at least for Favorites, that would suffice. As ling as the spacing is similar to that of Z3TA, that would be so great for using Synthmaster live.
Thanks for considering all these requests.

We also implemented downloading content from our website. Existing SynthMaster users for instance, once they purchase the Pro Upgrade (by purchasing the Factory Presets bank), download all their previously purchased preset banks from us. The workflow is dead easy, as Doug also said in his pre-release video.
The Alchemy problem is that IAP content could only be downloaded/installed from within the app (*). Once that mechanism was broken it became impossible to restore purchased content data.
With Synthmaster I would want a non-techie way to keep a copy of IAP content data locally (but not on my iPad), with the ability to 'Open In...' Synthmaster. Will I be able to download content (already purchased from within the app) from the website, using a regular browser?
(*) I understand there are/were ways (iFunBox ?) to get at the IAP data files within the app's file system so that individual IAPs could be backed up and restored. It's not a reliable method though.
Alchemyphobia! Trauma!
