    Then I think it's a bit iffy monzo. Microphones are a bit of a mystery to me but i think Phantom Power is an extra power supply needed for certain mics. Don't really know why but that is why I want to go with one that just plugs in, no messing.

    Thanks for the link. I've got a Shure dynamic mic (though not the one they've listed) and XLR to 1/4” cable/adapter, so it sounds like there's a possibility it'll work, though they include 'input gain' rather than phantom power. Hmmm....like you I want to be able to record vocals as well which was why I was initially interested in the iRig Pro. The Line6 is a bit out of my budget for this.

    Sounds like it might work, or it might not.
