  • Going to take a peak at Cassini.

  • Laplace - the best physical modelling synth available for iOS, well worth having.
Cassini sounds great, and yeah, the delay is awesome. Kind of crappy interface though, not much fun to program IMO...

  • @Zymos I think the interface is a fair trade-off considering all the functionality they were able to fit in.

  • Great apps.

Agree that Cassini can be a bear to program. I think the uptake and use of the synth is somewhat hobbled by the multi-screen programming. Would be wonderful if there were a sort of dashboard page that had abbreviated versions of the most used subtractive synthesis controls. Then you could go into the tab pages if you wanted deeper control.

And +10 about the delay. So good! Can we all email him and ask that sell the delay as a stand alone app?

  • @firejan82 Thanks for posting! I didn't even know Cassini exist.

  • Yep, PITA to have separate tabs for each oscillator but now way to see what everything is doing in one screen.

  • I'm thinking about Cassini but is there really any point if I already have Tera?

  • Hmmm... Should I buy a beer or Cassini? How about both? Ok...

  • Cassini is really deep. Has a pretty distinct sound also. Laplace I like but not used in a track yet

Cassini is a great one, unfortunately the presets it ships with are pretty subtle. Sunsine Audio has a couple outstanding packs that show off what it can do (use the $ you save on the synth http://shop.sunsineaudio.com/Casino-1-2-Bundle-042.htm)

Both Laplace and Cassini are nobrainer buys in my book

  • Big Laplace fan here! It just does what I want to hear - that quality is why I want to try Cassini (the cudos to the delay are what really peaked my interest...)

There are those 4 controller knobs on the keyboard page that you can assign functions to on the global page. I know - that's more like a micro version of what you are saying but it is something.

  • I like to send a chord into an endless feedback loop in the Delay2, turn down the send knob of the Delay2, go up an octave and jam over it with the Delay1 wet.

  • Nice arp as well.

  • Those front page controllers are weird. I stopped using them long ago but I don't quite recall why. I think they do not update the actual control or adjustments are saved with the patch. Or something.

  • Awesome! I've had Laplace in the wishlist for sometime. Time to buy!

  • And here I thought $5.99 for Cassini WAS the sale price, not full price! Ah well. At least I got to snag Laplace for the reduced price.
