Problem normalising an iM1 track recorded using a midi track in Cubasis

Loving the multitude of sounds in iM1 but seem to have found a problem when using a midi track to trigger iM1 to record the iM1 sound in Cubasis.

Firstly, the level of iM1 seems very low by default but I guess there must be a master volume somewhere in iM1 (couldn't see it though!).

I recorded an audio track using iM1 into Cubasis OK.

The next tack I tried was more difficult to get the timing right so I decided I would record it as a midi track using a Cubasis piano to get the midi data and correct the timing. I then routed the output to iM1 so that it played the iM1 sound and created an audio track (routed to iM1 via audiobus) in which to record the output of iM1. I often do this with other apps without a problem.

When I played back the new audio track the level was very low so I decided to normalise it (as I had done with my first audio track). However only the first few bars appeared to get normalised! Any ideas?

Here is my screen shot:

In the audio editor, be sure to zoom all the way out before normalizing. If you don't, only the portion you see in the audio editor gets normalized.

  • Doh! That is exactly what the problem was. The sliding markers in the Wave Edit screen were not set to the full length of the track! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! @jwmakerofmusic ;)

  • Still can't see a Master Volume control though! I would have though it should be in the Settings screen with the other "global" settings?
