Why do so few apps let you search for preset by name?
I like how mitosynth does it.
Just because the physical boxes didn't have ascii input, there no reason developers can't make it easy to search for preset by name.

Auria. Grrrr. It punishes me for buying so many apps every time I reach for the insert.
I'd include Audiobus and Audioshare in with this complaint. I would love it if I could search for apps by name within these
@johnfromberkely A possible solution if the app allows it: Setup a folder for only your own patches or the patches you like and would want to recall (or, in cases like the VirSyn apps, find the folder with the smallest amount of existing presets already in it), save stuff there. Maybe not as fast as saving, but an easier way to recall stuff.
Audiobus lets you go to the portion of the alphabet your desired app starts with. This seems to work fairly well for me. If you have so many apps that you need more searching capability than this, I think you'll have an even harder time remembering the names of your apps.
I have no problem with the search by letter, it's just the long string of random apps that Auria presents you with that drives me spare.....
Was cussing about the same thing this afternoon in Auria, what a total pain!!!!
Personally I'd prefer a regular expression filter myself, I can't spell for doggie dodo and its always the second letter I get wrong.
Actually for me, sorting them by use would be optimal, then alpha after the top 10 or so. I pretty much use the same ones for a while and they slowly change over time.
