Synthmaster: Issues
What say you?
I get some crazy dangerously high screeching once and while when I change sounds.
Seems like it bogs down the works as far as CPU and overall workflow.
Sound quality and volume varies quite a bit between presets.
IOS8(latest) / AIR
I love the app, these are just some things after a week or so that jumped out at me.
Comments
Agree, great app but there are some volume differences between presets, but nothing too jarring to me, so far. Otherwise, I've had no sound type issues or CPU problems as you report and I have SMP on iPad4 and mini-retina both ios8. Have you done a device reset recently?
There is the sticky keys problem, but it will be fixed in the next update, I think.
Yep, its a lil buggy for me...
Agree with both.
So, you pay the $5.99 or whatever and you get all those presets.
Let me ask.
Are the presets from the so called library packs to the left or are they future IAP?
It just isn't clear how the menus are set up.
All of the various sound packs are listed in the box on the left, they are color coded/highlighted as such: normal blue -- sound pack titles available for purchase. Highlighted blue -- those that you own (like Factory). If you're a registered user of desktop synthmaster any sound packs that you own on desktop will show up in green (tap to get the download, once complete it will then show as blue highlight).
Once you tap a sound pack that you own, the categories for sound show in the middle box and the actual sound preset is selected from the right hand box. There's also a little up/down/left/right button to help navigate through the sounds.
I grabbed some last night.
Last time I tried was the first day it came out and they weren't a go then.
I got 3 last night. Gonna grab some more tonight and run through them.
