"But if I stop to smell the roses, how will I then create beautiful art for you?" someone started to ask.
Good choice. Less is often more, if you're forgive the cliche. It's a cliche for a reason.
@eustressor "No idea, please do," someone answered.
@iansainsbury “Let's have some new cliches!" (Samuel Goldwyn)
I quite like Neruda myself. Somewhere I have a book of his poems. I think it's side-by-side Spanish and English. I'll have to break it out.
Very cool. Music and video work great with the words of the poem.
I'm reminded of something a talking, trigger-happy raccoon once said to me:
"What a bunch of losers. All of them in a big hurry to get from something stupid to nothing at all. Pathetic."
Of course, the fine art of nuance is often lost on talking, trigger-happy raccoons.
Perhaps Neruda, too
Very cool. It's a minute and a half of constant anticipation that I was hoping would climax all over the place at the end, but I guess that's the message.
Excellent.
@JohnnyGoodyear I've decided that the bit at 1:20 is a selfie. Do not sway me, please.
@syrupcore Ah, all these guises and disguises.
I am Lemmy Caution, as was Eddie Constantine. I'm also a great believer in doppelgängers and alter-egos and I've certainly sat smoking in the rain of many different Alphavilles....I have to believe we all have. Or will.
What a face though, all tiredness, understanding and brute resignation....
The last line brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful. Stopped me in my tracks. Thanks for posting.
