Oval Sound

I did a quick search on the forum and did not see anything about this so here is a link to the youtube video. Looks awesome.

  • I understand what they're doing, but there's no need for the awkward shape. If you want to make a midi controller that's good for recreating cello sounds, there's no need to make it the size and shape of a real cello. Even though this will get funded, I predict it will be another kickstarter failure.

  • It's meant to resemble a hang drum. It is cool but way too expensive in my opinion

I'm with @TGiG, it's very tempting 'cause I love wacky MIDI controllers, but I'm not willing to spend that much for it. Even at the Kickstarter price.

On the other hand, compared to the price of a Hang Drum (I think it's around $10k plus the price of travelling to Switzerland), it's pretty reasonable.

    i have 2Hang (since8years) and 2Sunpan....
love the way you can play it analogue

i backe one oval for 399€ cause i like the form to play....and the pads are not just "trigger" pads,

"Multi Sensing Pad with velocity and X/Y location.
Pressure sensitive sensors for higher expression control, more organic sound, and complex possibilities such as using multiple layers of samples. Bluetooth+ "
